Selecting, Editing, and Moving Objects with the Modify Tool
The Modify tool works just like the ordinary mouse pointer in most applications:
- Click an object to select it. You can select individual points, or a whole line or fill including all of its points.
- Hold the Command key while clicking an object to add it to or remove it from the selection.
- Hold the Shift key while clicking an object to select all objects between it and the last object you selected.
- Drag an object to move it. Hold Shift while dragging to constrain the movement to
- Hold the Option key while dragging an object to duplicate it.
Once an object is selected, you can use the Style inspector to change its appearance.
